Introduction: A breast cancer diagnosis often leads women to face a variety of feelings of uncertainty, even for their families, with whom nursing staff must interact to promote supportive care, qualified and sensitive listening. Guiding questions: What are the main emotional, social, and health consequences of a breast cancer diagnosis in women's lives? How can nursing effectively provide support and comprehensive care to patients diagnosed with breast cancer? General objective: To analyze the role of nursing in addressing the emotional, social, and health consequences of a breast cancer diagnosis in women, aiming for comprehensive and humanistic care. Specific objectives: To identify the main emotional, social, and health consequences for women diagnosed with breast cancer. To describe how nursing can effectively provide support and comprehensive care to patients diagnosed with breast cancer. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review with a qualitative approach, addressing the research question: How does nursing care address the emotional, social, and health consequences of a breast cancer diagnosis in women, aiming for comprehensive and humanistic care? The search in the SciELO and BVS databases yielded 16 articles published between 2020 and 2024, resulting in the theme: Nursing practice in addressing the emotional, social, and health consequences of a breast cancer diagnosis in women, focusing on comprehensive and humanistic care. The subtitles are: 1. The main emotional, social, and health consequences of a breast cancer diagnosis in women's lives. 2. Effective nursing practice in providing comprehensive support and care to patients diagnosed with breast cancer.
