This bibliographic review article aims to analyze public policies aimed at democratic management and their impacts on the contemporary school. Based on a theoretical review of authors such as Paro, Libâneo, Lück, Gadotti, and Cury, it seeks to understand how educational policies guide participatory management practices and the role of school actors in this process. The discussion reveals that democratic management constitutes not only a legal principle but also a social practice essential for building a more inclusive, critical, and autonomous school.
