This study addresses dentigerous cysts (DCs), a non-inflammatory odontogenic lesion associated with impacted teeth, including supernumerary teeth. It represents approximately 24% of maxillary cysts, with a higher prevalence in men and in the mandible. Left untreated, dentigerous cysts can cause tooth displacement, bone resorption, and nerve damage. Diagnosis involves clinical examination, radiographs, CT scans, and biopsy, with enucleation being the most appropriate treatment. The study reports a case of extensive DC in the mandible, associated with a supernumerary tooth, with risk of fracture and paresthesia. Surgical treatment was successful, confirming the importance of early diagnosis and appropriate management to prevent complications and preserve jaw function. This treatment is supported by studies addressing surgical techniques associated with enucleation and excision of dentigerous cysts associated with supernumerary teeth.
