This project aims to analyze the need to update the Statute of Children and Adolescents (ECA) in light of the new challenges posed by the digital environment. The growing involvement of children and adolescents in social networks and online platforms reveals situations of vulnerability, such as undue exposure of images, online harassment, and illegal adoption through digital means. In this context, it is essential to investigate how the ECA can be reevaluated or improved to ensure effective protection in the digital environment. The study considers recent legislative debates, including proposed laws to regulate the internet, and analyzes concrete cases that demonstrate the need for more efficient control and supervision.
