This research aimed to investigate the importance of employees involved in educational development and how they contribute to student learning from a critical perspective. In this sense, it is necessary to understand the relationships among basic education workers, where the disparity caused by the lack of appreciation for those who perform their functions with responsibilities for the benefit of student learning is evident. The importance of these employees is clearly evident; without them, the performance of activities in this educational sector becomes difficult, hindering the benefit of all those involved in the school. To interpret the data obtained, including interviews, analyses, and individual experiences, qualitative research was used. The interviewees were part of a municipal school in the city of Escada. The interviewees were identified by codes: MD (lunch lady), AUX (cleaning assistant), PT (doorman). The research is based on Junior and Campos (2024) and Cunha (2021). Based on the research, it was demonstrated that each role within the school environment contributes to the improvement of education. From this perspective, it is contextualized that everyone is responsible for the formation, growth and progress of a dignified society, in the face of appreciation, respect and freedom.
