Abstract

Human identification is fundamental in the forensic field, with Forensic Dentistry being internationally recognized as a primary method for using dental characteristics as reliable biological markers. Among its techniques, age estimation is based on chronological dental development, highlighting the visual method of the London Atlas, which employs standardized illustrations from intrauterine life up to 23 years of age. In the Brazilian context, marked by ethnic diversity, the validation of this method becomes particularly relevant. This literature review aims to analyze the applicability and accuracy of this method in the Brazilian population. Materials and Methods: Results.
