This article aims to critically and reflectively analyze the main challenges faced by contemporary education, observing its transformations, limitations, and possibilities in the current social scenario. Starting from a historical and theoretical contextualization, the study seeks to understand how education has been influenced by the economic, technological, and cultural aspects of globalized society, highlighting the relevance of teacher performance and public policies in promoting more inclusive and quality education. The methodology used is based on a literature review, supported by authors who discuss the new perspectives and contradictions of the educational process.
