Preventive Medicine plays a fundamental role in reducing noncommunicable chronic diseases (NCDs), such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and dyslipidemia. These conditions impose a major burden on health systems and are closely linked to modifiable behavioral factors. This article reviews the main evidence-based preventive strategies, including the promotion of healthy habits, early screening, and health education. It emphasizes the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration and public policies focused on primary and secondary prevention. The effective implementation of these actions is essential to improve population quality of life and reduce healthcare costs.
