The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of laser therapy in the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries, highlighting its main benefits and clinical applications. This is an integrative, descriptive-exploratory literature review conducted in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) between February and September 2025. Articles published in Portuguese, freely accessible, and available in full, from 2015 to 2025 were included. After applying the eligibility criteria, eight studies comprised the final sample. The results indicated that laser therapy has significant effects on tissue regeneration, such as stimulating collagen synthesis, increasing microcirculation and fibroblast proliferation, in addition to anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. These effects contribute to accelerated healing, pain reduction, and functional recovery, being effective for both muscle and joint injuries and acute and chronic wounds. It is concluded that laser therapy represents a relevant and effective therapeutic resource in physiotherapeutic practice, although it is necessary to develop more studies with standardized protocols that strengthen scientific evidence and guide its clinical application.
