Moodle is a virtual learning environment widely used in universities in Brazil and abroad. Although Moodle offers accessibility features, there are still few solutions for accessibility for people with disabilities on the Moodle platform. This article reviews accessibility for People with Disabilities (PwD) in Moodle through a Systematic Literature Review of studies published between January 2015 and April 2024. The reviewed studies contributed suggestions and development of new features to improve Moodle. However, gaps in the existing literature were identified, suggesting the need for future research to explore and expand available solutions. This work highlights current challenges and points to promising paths for improving accessibility in virtual learning environments like Moodle.
