Abstract

This research was theoretically grounded in the literature that will deepen our understanding of art's contribution to child development and guide its applicability in schools. This study can be reflected upon, guided by official national documents and its advances in teaching and learning. Education is linked to learning methods that produce meaningful experiences for the assimilation of knowledge. Art, in turn, is one of these methods that can improve the quality of teaching, which is the main reason for this study. The aim is to encourage reflection on the importance of this topic and encourage a rethinking of teaching practices, thereby valuing artistic creation. Therefore, this study was based on exploratory, qualitative research, characterized, based on the nature of the data, as bibliographical research. It was found that art is essential in children's development.
