Abstract

This article presents a review of the importance of museums in education, highlighting their role in preserving cultural heritage and promoting inclusive and innovative pedagogical practices. Museums are regarded as spaces of cultural mediation that broaden access to knowledge and stimulate critical thinking. The study analyzed articles published between 2020 and 2025 on museology, museum education, and pedagogical methodologies. The results emphasize that museums are dynamic environments that integrate culture, technology, and efficient management, fostering accessibility and educational innovation. Inclusive actions, appreciation of intangible heritage, and partnerships with schools demonstrate the transformative potential of these spaces. It is concluded that public policies, professional training, and the integrated use of technologies are essential to ensure the sustainability and social impact of museums in contemporary education.
