The construction of public trust and institutional image represents a fundamental strategic challenge for police organizations in the contemporary context. Within the Paraná Military Police (PMPR), Military Police Intelligence (MPI) plays a central role in strengthening institutional legitimacy and strengthening ties with society. This article aims to analyze how MPI activities contribute to building public trust and improving the institutional image of PMPR. Methodologically, the study adopts a qualitative and exploratory approach, grounded in systematic bibliographic review. The research examines key MPI strategies, ethical foundations, and the institutional impact of intelligence practices. The analysis demonstrates that strategic use of information, knowledge management, application of advanced technologies, and proactive stance contribute to projecting an image of modernity, efficiency, and social commitment. However, risks such as data misuse, lack of structured planning, or violation of individual rights may significantly compromise this image. The study concludes that when guided by solid ethical principles and focused on prevention and qualified decision-making support, MPI becomes an essential tool for public security modernization and for building lasting trust-based relationships with the community.
