This article aims to report and reflect on the experiences of a supervised internship conducted at a Long-Term Care Facility for the Elderly (LTCF) in Curitiba, Paraná. The internship took place within the context of Social Psychology, with an emphasis on institutional observation and the behavior of the inmates. Based on theoretical frameworks in psychology and aging, the study sought to understand the challenges and learnings related to caring for elderly women in institutionalization. The article also aims to promote reflection on fostering bonds and addressing the loneliness and social fragility that affect this population.
