Abstract

This article examines, from a critical and multidisciplinary perspective, the humanitarian role of social security advocacy in enforcing fundamental rights and rebuilding human dignity. The analysis is based on two concrete cases, with fictitious names, that illustrate social vulnerability and the transformative action of social security lawyers. The study engages with authors such as Boaventura de Sousa Santos, Amartya Sen, Celso Campilongo, and Ingo Sarlet, articulating theory and practice to demonstrate that access to social security can represent the only means of distributive justice for invisible populations.
