Introduction: Vaginal vault prolapse is a rare form of prolapse (5.1%) that is associated with vaginal hysterectomies (20%) and is a current decision for the use of the sacrospinofixation technique. Objective: To describe the sociodemographic data in patients with sacrospinfixation in the treatment of vaginal vault prolapse at the Hospital Central del Instituto de Previsión Social in the city of Asunción. Methodology: Observational, retrospective, descriptive, cross-sectional study, in the period from January 2020 to December 2023, of 21 patients with sacrospinofixation in the treatment of vaginal vault prolapse. Cases without affiliation data or those that have had incomplete records will be excluded. The record book of gynecological surgical procedures was reviewed with prior authorization. The database was created through Microsoft Excel 2016 ® software. The analysis of the results was carried out through STATA 16 ®. Results: About 21 medical records were reviewed, of which they are under 60 years of age (n = 3), and over 60 years of age (n = 18); being mostly from Central (n = 11) and Capital (n = 6), of which it was seen that there was a prevalence of arterial hypertension (47%) and diabetes mellitus (DM) (24%). Conclusion: Vaginal vault prolapse is a complication that must be known by the general gynecologist since it is associated with hysterectomies and the use of sacrospinofixation should be considered due to its results.
