The Federal Constitution of 1988, affectionately called the Citizen Constitution by the late Ulisses Guimarães, introduced a major change in family relationships into the legal system, with new family models, promoting a repersonalization of these entities, praising the cultivation of affection, further expanding the types of paternity, which is not just the result of consanguinity, opening space for family relationships based on socio-affectivity, dividing the social and legal space into its most varied denominations. Therefore, it is important to show these new concepts of family, the relevance of affection in social relationships and in judicial decisions by state and higher courts.
