This paper deals with the transnational crime of drug trafficking on state highways in Paraná, more specifically in 2020, considering that it is a major public safety problem in Paraná and Brazil. In view of this, this research aims to analyze the seizure data in 2020, and to demonstrate and map, based on the analysis, the possible routes and regions in which this crime is most practiced. The data for the analysis were extracted from the Military Police statistics platform (Business Intelligence), through Excel spreadsheets, which were classified in order of number of seizure occurrences and quantity in kilograms of narcotics seized, thus arriving at the main state highways where drug seizures occurred: PR 317, PR 323, PR 486. In addition, a relationship is made between the crime and its origin, based on the Theory of Differential Association, from the area of international relations. In view of this finding, an increase in state highway policing is proposed, aiming at a more effective fight against the transnational crime of drug trafficking.
