Cervical cancer is one of the most common types of cancer among women and is strongly associated with Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection. This study investigated the prevalence of hospitalizations and deaths due to cervical cancer (CC) in the state of Paraná between 2012 and 2022, as well as HPV vaccination coverage. Data from the Brazilian Public Health System's Hospital Morbidity Information System (SIH/SUS) were analyzed using statistical tools. During the study period, 20,415 hospitalizations were recorded, with a significant increase in 2022. The most affected age group was 40 to 49 years. In terms of mortality, 1,537 deaths were recorded, with the highest number occurring in women aged 50 to 59. The analysis revealed a positive correlation between age and mortality. Regarding HPV vaccination, the data showed a peak in 2014, followed by a decline. Given the importance of this issue, this study highlights the critical role of public health policies, such as vaccination and preventive screening, in combating cervical cancer.
