Abstract

This paper addresses public education policies. Considering daily educational practices, this work seeks to understand the process of public education policies, their principles, and the proposals for democratizing quality education in Brazil. However, it is worth reflecting and recognizing that the history of education is constantly changing. We can associate this idea with the faithful analysis and construction of a solid common curriculum for the entire country. This has been conceived and developed by the Ministry of Education over the years and is currently being implemented in educational settings. The research is qualitative, descriptive, and bibliographical in nature. It is based on authors who address the topic through the analysis of written material and/or bibliography used. It aims to contribute to the presentation of discoveries and analyses of the democratization of education, the principles, and proposals revealed today for the democratization of education.
