Sclerosus Lichen is a rare condition most commonly diagnosed in menopausal women, characterized by hypopigmented skin lesions, in addition to itching, pain, atrophy and disappearance of the labia minora. Although it is chronic and relapses are frequent, proper treatment reduces the risk of developing squamous cell carcinoma. The objective of the study is to present the main characteristics of the disease. Through the analysis of studies obtained from the search for previous studies in the PubMed databases and Regional Portal of the VHL, and the selection of 25 scientific articles that suited the parameters of the study, it was demonstrated that the Sclerosal Lichen can be found in both sexes and all ages, with a preference for the female anogenital region. Treatment is effective with the application of local corticosteroids or surgeries in cases of genital deformities. However, it is concluded that the Sclerosous Lichen, even with its clinical characteristics, the diagnosis is difficult and becomes late because it is often asymptomatic.
