This work is an attempt to look more carefully at the way in which the school curriculum is presented, very fragmented, which ends up making it difficult to include many students. — especially those who have some disabilities or need additional support to learn. The proposal is to think of interdisciplinarity as a possible path to make teaching more integrated, closer to the reality of students, and more welcoming for all. The research was conducted with five high school students who are assisted by Specialized Educational Assistance (AEE) in a public school in the hinterlands of Paraíba. Based on their responses, it was possible to perceive that, although there have been advances in pedagogical support, there are still lacking more effective connections between the AEE and the regular classroom teachers.respect in relationships are fundamental for true inclusion to occur. More than resources and policies, it is necessary to build a school that truly sees and values each student in their uniqueness. The students' statements also show how much the feeling of belonging and respect in relationships are fundamental for true inclusion to happen. More than resources and policies, it is necessary to build a school that truly sees and values each student in their uniqueness.
