The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education has transformed pedagogical practices by allowing personalization of teaching and optimization of learning processes. This article aimed to analyze the application of AI in education, focusing on its impacts on personalization, ethical challenges and future trends. The study was based on a bibliographic and documentary methodology, examining academic articles and technical publications between 2015 and 2024, with qualitative analysis of the data collected. The results indicated that AI promotes the adaptation of content to individual needs, improves student engagement and contributes to reducing educational gaps. However, ethical challenges such as data privacy and algorithmic bias have been identified as significant barriers to its implementation. The role of the educator was highlighted as indispensable in mediating between technology and pedagogy, requiring continuous and ethical training. The study concluded that, although AI has the potential to democratize access to knowledge, its application requires clear public policies and investments in technological infrastructure, ensuring equity and accessibility. The balance between technological innovation and ethical responsibility is essential for AI to effectively contribute to the construction of a more inclusive and efficient educational system.
