This scientific article, through legal study and doctrinal works, analyzes the importance of university professors in law courses, outlining the purposes of higher education in Brazil, within the constitutional concept of Education. It analyzes the role of university professors, the minimum requirements for admission to the position, and the requirements for training and maintenance in the teaching role. It also reflects on the need for university law professors to have another legal career, in the light of a critical analysis: necessity, culture or legal imposition? Finally, it analyzes the role of professors in our time and presents some solutions to the decline in the quality of Brazilian legal education over the years. In its conclusions, it brings the concept of happiness and its applicability in today's world.
