This study aims to analyze the importance of preventive measures within the family to protect adolescents against violence. Considering the alarming increase in cases of physical, psychological and sexual aggression in the home, the research highlights the need for effective actions by parents and guardians, highlighting the fundamental role of the family in the formation and healthy development of adolescents. Through a qualitative approach, based on the Federal Constitution, the Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA) and specialized studies, we sought to demonstrate that prevention is possible and necessary, with strengthening family ties and dialogue being the main tools in this process. We conclude that the comprehensive protection of adolescents requires the joint commitment of the family, society and the State, aiming at building a safe, welcoming environment that is conducive to the full exercise of their rights.
