This study aims to understand the impact of ergonomic practices on the productivity of office workers, using the parameters established by Regulatory Standard No. 17 (NR17) as a reference. The aim is to examine how actions focused on ergonomics can contribute to reducing factors such as physical fatigue, discomfort and occupational illnesses. The methodological approach involved a theoretical survey using academic bases, as well as interviews with experts in the field. The findings indicate that environments organized with ergonomic criteria favor the performance of professionals, reduce absences due to health issues and increase job satisfaction. It is concluded that ergonomics, in addition to providing health benefits, is a strategic element for organizational performance.
