This article aims to analyze the impact of the circular economy on sustainable development in Brazil, highlighting its principles, benefits, and implementation challenges. The research adopts a qualitative and exploratory approach, based on bibliographic and documentary review. It starts from the premise that the linear economic model—based on extraction, production, and disposal—no longer meets the environmental, economic, and social sustainability demands of the 21st century. In this context, the circular economy emerges as a viable alternative, promoting material reuse, technological innovation, and resource efficiency. The analysis includes case studies of Brazilian companies that have adopted circular practices, such as Eldorado Brasil, JBS, and Natura, demonstrating the positive impacts of these actions on the environment, economy, and social inclusion. The paper also discusses limitations faced in Brazil, such as the lack of robust public policies, cultural barriers, and infrastructure shortcomings. It concludes that, although the transition to a circular economy still faces obstacles, it represents a promising strategy for sustainable development, requiring joint engagement from government, companies, and civil society.
