Environmental Education is a crucial tool for raising awareness in society about the importance of preserving these ecosystems. Interdisciplinarity proves to be an effective approach as it allows for the integration of various areas of knowledge, promoting broader educational practices. This work aims to discuss the importance of interdisciplinary practices for effective environmental education and to explore ways of implementing them in a formal context. To achieve this objective, the research conducted adopted a bibliographic and descriptive character, aiming to deepen the understanding of the topic and interdisciplinary practices. Interdisciplinary methods are fundamental in Environmental Education as they seek to raise awareness, sensitize, and form critical individuals. It is concluded that interdisciplinary practice is essential, especially regarding the conservation of environments that have been degraded and often forgotten, such as mangroves.
