This article presents the application of Lean Manufacturing philosophy concepts in a pressure vessel production line at a multinational company located in Arujá, São Paulo, Brazil. The research, exploratory and qualitative in nature, employed production flow mapping and layout analysis to identify waste, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies that negatively impact productivity. Additionally, process flowcharts were developed to provide a detailed view of the production stages and their interrelations. The analysis revealed unnecessary movements and long waiting times between stages, leading to production losses and delays in manufacturing. The physical arrangement of work cells and materials also contributed to unproductive displacements, increasing idle time. Based on these observations, an improvement plan was developed, which includes layout reorganization, balanced redistribution of tasks among workers, and the creation of temporary inventories to ensure continuous production flow. This study highlights the importance of continuous improvement and the adoption of Lean Manufacturing concepts to enhance industrial efficiency, especially in complex environments such as pressure vessel manufacturing. For future research, it is recommended to include financial and quality indicators to enable a broader evaluation of the benefits generated by the implementation of these practices.
