This study aims to investigate different therapeutic approaches for patients suffering from Alzheimer's disease, encompassing both integrative and natural therapies, with the aim of identifying the most effective strategies for improving cognitive function. To achieve this objective, a detailed systematic review was conducted to compile existing research on the subject. Results: One study indicated that the combination of donepezil with choline alfoscerate brought positive results in terms of cognitive improvement. In contrast, alternatives such as ginkgo biloba and acetyl-L-carnitine did not provide beneficial benefits. On the other hand, approaches using formulas from traditional Chinese medicine, such as KGT, showed therapeutic potential, although further studies are needed to validate their efficacy and safety over time. Conclusion: The integration of conventional treatments with natural therapies, always under the supervision of a health professional, may represent a promising alternative in the fight against Alzheimer's disease.
