The aim of this article is to analyze how dress code in the workplace, from a gender perspective, reinforces stereotypes and contributes to maintaining structural inequalities. Dress in the corporate environment is an element that reflects social, cultural and structural norms, influencing the perception of individuals and gender dynamics in the workplace. The study shows that women are subjected to stricter clothing rules and expectations than men, which limits their professional development and perpetuates discriminatory patterns limiting individual expression. It concludes that making these rules more flexible and adopting more inclusive policies can contribute to a fairer and more equal working environment, promoting diversity and non-discrimination. Its specific objective is to discuss the history of dress standards in the corporate environment, analyze how dress is interpreted in the workplace and compare the relationship between clothing expectations, as well as the relationship between dress and moral and sexual harassment in the corporate environment. Finally, it sets out to demonstrate that dress standards institutionalize discriminatory practices, turning female bodies into priority targets for surveillance and exclusion at work.
