Abstract

This article addresses the relevant quest to contribute to the understanding of the preservation of children and adolescents in the digital environment, in the context of free access and dangers of exposure without due care, offering a broad analysis of the behavior of exposed minors, their guardians and the society that consumes this content, seeking to propose solutions that involve the governmental and social spheres. On July 13, 1990, the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA) was born, approved by the National Congress, it was the legal framework that brought together demands from social movements that worked to defend the idea that children and adolescents are also subjects of rights and deserve access to citizenship and protection. The general objective is to analyze the impacts of child eroticization on social networks, investigating how early exposure and inappropriate content affect the psychological and emotional state of minors. Identifying cases of child eroticization on social media and their impacts on children, and proposing legal, legislative and educational solutions to combat child eroticization, in order to simultaneously understand the criminology of how the mind of an adult who begins to view children in a sensualized way works. This scientific article seeks to analyze child eroticization on social media, investigating its impacts on the psychological and emotional development of children. In addition to identifying cases in which this phenomenon occurs, the research proposes legal, legislative and educational solutions to combat this problem, protecting children's rights and preventing their exposure to inappropriate content. Another fundamental objective is to understand, from a criminological perspective, the factors that lead adults to view children in a sensualized way, allowing a more effective approach to preventing and repressing such behaviors. Thus, this study aims to contribute to the formulation of public policies and awareness strategies that promote a safer digital environment for children and adolescents.
