The social reintegration of ex-prisoners constitutes a complex challenge in Brazil, especially in regions like Tocantins. This study analyzes the reintegration mechanisms applied in Dianópolis between 2024 and 2025, focusing on initiatives by the Alternative Conflict Solutions Center (NUSAC) of UNITINS. The objective is to identify obstacles to resocialization and explore strategies to reduce criminal recidivism. The research is based on social labeling theory, Ferrajoli's penal guaranteeism, and restorative justice principles from Zehr and Achutti. The methodology consists of critical analysis of implemented programs, including sentence remission through reading and hydroponics courses in partnership with IFTO. Results demonstrate that NUSAC initiatives promoted 2,604 days of sentence remission and certified 10 inmates in hydroponics, representing effective alternatives to the traditional punitive model. The study concludes that strategies based on education, professional training, and restorative justice present significant transformative potential, constituting a replicable model for overcoming mass incarceration and promoting social reintegration.
