This article analyzes the effectiveness of socio-educational measures in Tocantins, focusing on the resocialization of adolescents in conflict with the law and the reduction of criminal recidivism, as provided for in the Statute of Children and Adolescents (ECA). Using a qualitative and quantitative approach, the structural conditions of the care units, local public policies and juvenile crime rates were examined, comparing the legal theory with the state reality. The results show that, despite the legal support, the lack of adequate infrastructure, scarcity of professional training programs and insufficient psychosocial support compromise the effectiveness of the measures. It is concluded that priority investments in physical structure, team training and expansion of intersectoral policies are necessary so that the socio-educational system of Tocantins fulfills its resocializing role and effectively contributes to social reintegration and reduction of recidivism.
