This article aims to propose the creation of a Preparatory School for Cadets at the Guatupê Military Police Academy (APMG), within the structure of the Paraná Military Police College (CPM). The hypothesis is that this modular structure, complementing the traditional CPM curriculum, could provide future APMG cadets with basic military and legal training in preparation for a new legal requirement: a law degree, which is now mandatory to enter the officer career track in the Paraná Military Police. This research is based on the feasibility of implementing a preparatory school for APMG cadets. The study is justified on professional, personal, and academic grounds, considering the current context faced by the corporation. A hypothetical-deductive method was used, with descriptive and exploratory analysis. For data collection, bibliographic research techniques were applied, reviewing the relevant literature in addition to data provided by the Paraná Military Police, the Paraná State Department of Education, and the existing Preparatory Schools of the Armed Forces (FFAA). The research results indicate the need to implement a pilot project to assess the effectiveness of the proposal, which shows a favorable outlook when compared with existing structures or similar initiatives previously undertaken by the Paraná Military Police (PMPR).
