Considering the expansion of offshore wind farms in the Brazilian Northeast, this study evaluates the use of remote sensing and artificial intelligence to monitor environmental impacts, especially on migratory birds. The methodology includes surveys on Environmental Impact Studies and Reports on wind farms in the region, a comprehensive review of scientific literature, analysis of the state of the art of monitoring technologies and description of applicable sensing and artificial intelligence techniques. Results indicate high precision (99.93%) in species identification by remote sensing and 87% accuracy in AI models, such as YOLOv5, suggesting potential for environmental monitoring with lower cost and high reliability.
