Anxiety is considered a relevant problem in Dentistry, given that it can interfere with the behavior of patients in dental clinics and offices, even impairing the care provided by the dentist. This research has the general objective of understanding the management of cases of dental anxiety in the clinic with adolescents. This is a literature review that included indexed articles published between 2020 and 2025, and the search strategy for the articles included research in the following electronic databases: LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences), SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) and Pubmed. The results indicated that dental anxiety is influenced by a range of aspects, such as exacerbated responses to sensory stimuli and traumatic experiences experienced by the patient, which emphasizes the importance of personalized interventions for each group of patients, whether using pharmacological or non-pharmacological methods, always providing a more humanized and effective approach in managing cases of dental anxiety in the clinic with adolescents.
