Abstract

Endodontics, a dental specialty focused on treating damage to the dental pulp and periapical structures, has benefited from significant technological advances over the years. These advances have provided greater effectiveness in cleaning root canals, an essential step for successful endodontic treatment. This study aimed to analyze technological innovations applied to Endodontics, with a focus on improving root canal cleaning. To this end, bibliographical research was conducted using scientific databases such as Google Scholar, Scielo and PubMed, considering publications from the last five years. Among the technologies analyzed are computed tomography, the operating microscope, rotary files, ultrasonic irrigation, instruments such as Easy Clean, in addition to the use of lasers and modern filling cements. It was observed that such technologies contribute significantly to more efficient, safe and predictable treatments, offering benefits to both professionals and patients. It is concluded that the incorporation of these advances into clinical routine is crucial for the excellence of endodontic procedures and for increasing therapeutic success over time.
