This study aims to evaluate how nursing care affects maternal and fetal outcomes. This is an integrative literature review with a qualitative bias. A search was conducted in the Virtual Health Library (BVS) and SCIELO databases, which provide access to scientific articles in the health area. To search for articles, the Boolean operator “AND” and the following descriptors were used: “prenatal”, “nursing care”, “pregnancy”, “fetus”, which must be verified by DeCS (Health Sciences Descriptors). As a result of the research, it was possible to prove that nursing care is extremely important in providing quality prenatal care, and the nursing professional is essential for pregnant women to adhere to prenatal care, using tools such as communication, qualified listening and health education, to ensure humanization and comprehensive care. Based on the results, it can be concluded that nursing care in prenatal care is extremely important and is essential for the healthy development of pregnancy and for a safe delivery.
