This article explores the intersection between Education, Sustainability, and Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs). It emphasizes the essential role of education in raising awareness and sensitivity to environmental issues, highlighting the evolution of this process throughout human history. In the institutional context, initiatives such as those by the Court of Justice of Pernambuco (TJPE) illustrate this relationship by offering sustainability courses via VLEs for employees and the community (TJPE, 2023; ESMAPE, 2023). The VLE is presented as a powerful tool, enabling dynamic access to educational content and fostering meaningful interactions. By examining the intrinsic connection between language, education, and sustainability, the article underscores the importance of peer dialogue and communication as fundamental elements in shared meaning-making. The research addresses the interplay between Education, Sustainability, and VLEs, exploring their potential to promote environmental education and sustainability awareness. Additionally, it highlights the positive impact of educational technologies on teacher professional development, as evidenced by literature. In summary, the intersection of these elements is framed as an integrated and enriching paradigm, stressing the need to balance virtual environments and in-person activities to advance comprehensive and sustainable education.
