Introduction: Atopic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease of genetic origin, characterized by intense itching and recurrent eczematous lesions. It may be associated with asthma and allergic rhinitis. Treatment aims to control symptoms with moisturizers, ointments, and, in severe cases, systemic medications. Although not contagious, it impacts quality of life, emotional health, and patient productivity. Methodology: The study adopts a descriptive, qualitative, and exploratory approach to investigate the relationship between emotional state and atopic dermatitis, analyzing impacts on daily life. Data from DATASUS (2019–2023) of adults aged 18 to 50 years were used, focusing on psychosocial and occupational consequences. Analysis was conducted through graphs and tables, with no ethical approval required due to the use of public data. Results: 98 notifications of atopic dermatitis were registered in Brazil, with a predominance in females (71 cases) and the highest frequency in 2022 (32 cases). The most affected age group was up to 35 years. Nursing technicians accounted for 37 cases. Discussion: A strong association was observed between stress, anxiety, and disease outbreaks. Conclusion: Atopic dermatitis affects physical, emotional, and social well-being, requiring a multidisciplinary approach to improve quality of life.
