Abstract

This study aims to investigate the challenges faced by support professionals from an inclusive perspective in schools, especially due to lack of training. The specific objectives include identifying whether there is ongoing training for support professionals who meet the specific needs of students in early childhood education, in addition to verifying whether these professionals are adequately prepared to serve the target audience. The methodology adopted was qualitative, allowing data collection from the reports of P1 and P2 teachers at the school in the municipality of Cabo de Santo Agostinho/PE. The work is based on authors such as Ferreira (2018), who highlights the importance of support professionals and the need to understand them in their role, and Libâneo (2004), who reinforces that continuing education is essential for improving the knowledge and performance of these professionals. The results indicate that ongoing training is essential for support professionals to qualify and be able to offer excellent assistance.
