The research examines the impact of technologies in education from the perspectives of teachers and students, with a particular focus on the pandemic period and remote teaching. Grounded in the concepts of teacher knowledge and technological mediation, it discusses the interplay among teacher training, pedagogical innovation, and the challenges faced by public schools. Through qualitative interviews, the study analyzes participants’ experiences and difficulties, demonstrating that although technology can strengthen educational practices, it neither replaces the role of the teacher nor resolves structural inequalities. The critical analysis stresses the uncritical adoption of digital resources and underscores the need for continuous training and suitable infrastructure to ensure a responsible integration of technologies in education.
