RACISM IN EDUCATION: BUILDING IDEALS IN A BRAZILIAN SOCIETY

This article seeks to question and reflect on the various forms of discrimination and practices interwoven within educational institutions and to bring this discourse to the educational center, which are often omitted from teaching practices in the various social spaces. The research aims to investigate, reflect and provide information so that there is mobilization and awareness in various segments that are present in the educational sphere and in the surrounding community. These practices seek to eradicate and reduce the high levels of racial prejudice that occur within our schools. They also talk about the importance of the school, in view of some laws that “support” the population of color, race, but the law is not executed as it should be and who needs it. The methodology employed was the bibliographical method and the qualitative approach. to account for the study of racism at school. The results obtained from this research showed that racial prejudice exists in educational institutions, but that this practice must be extinguished from this space and cultural diversity must be valued so that we have a fairer and more equal society.
