This article aims to analyze the challenge of classroom management in the teaching-learning process, since the teaching profession is a job that poses several challenges to teachers. Student behaviors challenge teaching practices in a certain way. During my teaching experience, I have seen several teachers struggling to manage conflicts in the classroom. We need to understand that, therefore, this work raises the following problem: to what extent does classroom management impact the teaching-learning process. The objective of classroom management is to provide an environment conducive to a better level of learning by students, applying techniques, controlling processes, analyzing results and improving teaching methods. The correlation between management and student success should motivate teachers to examine their practices from the beginning of the school year (Walters; Frei, 2009). We must understand that within the classroom, the teacher is considered to be responsible for managing student behavior and is often confused with being synonymous with discipline. The reason for using management and discipline as synonyms is due to the fact that the teacher first has to establish how the classroom will function, and then expect good behavior from the students.
