Lymphedema is a condition that affects many women following breast cancer treatment, leading to swelling, pain, and functional limitations. In this context, the present work consists of a narrative literature review aimed at exploring the benefits of physical exercise on the quality of life of women living with breast cancer-related lymphedema. As secondary outcomes, the reduction of lymphedema symptoms and the positive impact of these exercises on physical functionality will also be analyzed. To achieve this, a bibliographic search was conducted using the PubMed database. The analyzed studies address different exercise modalities such as resistance training, aerobic exercise, and water aerobics, and their contribution to the physical, psychological, and emotional well-being of patients. Most of the articles showed favorable outcomes in the variables studied and reinforced the contribution of physical activity to the prevention of lymphedema-related complications and the recovery of physical and emotional health in affected women. Thus, the importance of implementing structured exercise programs as an integral component of patient care is emphasized.
