Child sexual exploitation in the Amazon is a serious issue affecting children and adolescents, leaving deep physical, psychological, and social consequences. This study aims to understand the effects of sexual exploitation on mental health and the social life of victims, highlighting the need for effective public policies to prevent and combat this crime. The methodology used was bibliographic research, analyzing scientific articles on the subject. The results show that although protection policies exist, there are failures in coordination among responsible agencies and in applying adequate resources, which hinders the effectiveness of actions. The discussion points to the importance of integrated actions, such as training professionals, creating support networks, and more effective law enforcement. It is concluded that the creation of public policies focused on prevention, protection, and reintegration of victims is essential, with greater community involvement and training of professionals who work directly with children and adolescents.
