Abstract

This paper aims to briefly reflect on the importance of school, family and society in the process of building citizenship, and to show the importance of a multidisciplinary team in the school environment. Therefore, in order to ensure a satisfactory result in this process called “education”, it is necessary for everyone to work together and in sync to ensure that these students, when they become adults, are prepared to live in society. Based on these issues, this article was based on the studies of Bartholo (2001), Chaves (1998), Freire (1987), Libâneo (1994), among other authors. In addition, the guidelines of the Statute of Children and Adolescents and the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education (LDB) also served as a basis. The methodological procedure was characterized by a bibliographic review, and the relationship between school and family was verified. It can be concluded that families live outside of reality and school commitment, justifying the failure of the student due to the lack of support from parents. It is noted that there is a need for an adequate relationship between school and family, with planning and collaboration from everyone, establishing objectives, so that students have access to quality education.
