This article sought to discuss the importance of technology in assisting school managers in decision-making. The results highlight that the use of digital innovation can reduce redundant tasks, in addition to contributing to increased administrative efficiency, transparency, and accountability in the management of personnel data, improving the efficiency of managers and decision-making processes in educational institutions. In addition, it was possible to identify some challenges to be faced in their professional practice, such as the lack of technical skills and the lack of exploration of the long-term sustainability and adaptability of information systems in educational institutions, pointing to the need for continuous training in digital skills for school staff members. Thus, the conclusion showed that school managers need to be aware of digital technology tools, since research shows significant results in decision-making and resource management through the use of technological tools, as well as needing to be sensitive to overcome the challenges and limitations existing in school environments that will result from the use of technological tools. At the end of this study, suggestions for future research were offered to all readers.
