Abstract

This article addresses the relationship between social inequality and extreme poverty in Angola, highlighting disparities in income, access to basic services and development opportunities as factors that contribute to the persistence of poverty. The lack of effective public policies, income concentration and corruption are highlighted as elements that fuel inequality and hinder social and economic progress. The Angolan government is urged to combat inequality and promote social inclusion through investments in education, health, infrastructure and employability, given that income inequalities and access to basic services are high, depriving the poorest layers of development opportunities and better living conditions.
